Well what a cracking day for ‪#‎teamtops‬ at a very high standard NABBA North East Champs yesterday! First chance I have had to post about it! It was an honour to share the stage in my class with so many high class physiques and I feel very lucky to have got the win in what must have been very close judging decision. Paul Jeffreys excelled himself once again by creating another amazing trophy. This guy invests so much in trophies to reward the athletes and I can honestly say I have not seen better anywhere and that goes for World Champs too! It was fantastic to catch up with so many of my bodybuilding family (i have some awesome friends in this sport). One of my athletes Lisa Murphy gave a fantastic polished performance in the Athletic Figure Class in only her 2nd show. She looks like a seasoned competitor already such is her stage presence and I have received so much complimentary feedback about her that makes me a very proud coach indeed. She didn’t place such was the standard (world class) but she achieved what she set out to do. Was also good to see so many friends competing onstage. John King in the first timers got a very creditable 4th showing fantastic conditioning. Chelsea Horton was a standout after moving up to Trained Figure this year and won at her first attempt. Mick Stocks was the best I have seen him when he won Class 3 and what an amazing achievement for Laimonas Minkevicius turning round disappointment last week to win Class 1 and the Overall after an amazing posing display and on the button conditioning. There was many many more great things to see onstage with Fay Ellis & Claire Parkin amongst others in a strong class fighting it out in the Athletic Figure. Claire is a different person this year under Dan Welburn. I know I cant mention everyone I met but the whole atmosphere was a credit to NABBA. Thank you for the unbelievable support I received once more and my new sponsor muscletricks.com was deafening! I am currently focused on bringing my best to the stage in Brazil at the World Championships in 6 weeks time fuelled all the way by my amazing and generous supplement sponsors Muscle King Nutrition and supported by Pro Grips-Uk. Not forgetting what a nice touch it was to see Lee Archer (the best in the business) get an award for his continued hard work!
