ABOUT STEVE JOHNSON

Welcome to Steve Johnson Coaching. As well as offering tailored 121 training, Steve is also part owner of the multi award winning TOPS FITNESS and REHABILITATION, which he has managed for over twenty years. During this time Steve has become one of the most successful and respected bodybuilders in the UK and renowned for his work in the Fitness Industry. From 1999 to 2011 Steve focused on building the TOPS business and brand. In 2011 Steve made the decision to make one last comeback to competitive bodybuilding. In that same year, Steve won the NABBA North East over 40s title and came 4th in the Mr Britain. This awakened Steve's competitive edge and he then set new competitive goals. In 2012 Steve went on to win the NABBA North East 40s title and returned to the Mr Britain Masters to become champion. Steve has since competed on the World stage home and abroad no less than 8 times, 7 of those occasions finishing in the top 3 with 4 runner up spots. Most people could be forgiven for giving in after so many close finishes ending in disappointment but that is not in the mindset of Steve. This year in 2017 he achieved one of his goals when he was eventually crowned the Worlds best Masters 50 bodybuilder when travelling to Russia and winning the NABBA World title. A dream realised! It is not just on the bodybuilding stage that Steve has achieved success. In 2016 Steve was given a Lifetime Achievement award for his impact on the Fitness Industry at the National Fitness Awards in 2016 and is the youngest person to ever receive this accolade. Steve is also known for the articles he writes for magazines along with his perspective on the sport through being an official bodybuilding judge. Steve provides not only specialised 121 training at Tops Fitness in Wakefield but also a complete coaching service. He now has many bodybuilding champions that he has coached on his books and in 2018 aims to offer his services out to even more clients. One of the area's he is focusing on will be his service to online clients.
